A Friday morning tribute for Bobby Bloomingdale of Kid Davis & the Bullets
Kid Davis & Scott honor their bandmate and friend this morning on WVUD.
Rise and shine, 302. We don’t usually send emails on Fridays, but this felt important to share.
On Monday, the local music scene lost a giant.
Robert “Bobby” Bloomingdale, upright bassist and founding member of Kid Davis & the Bullets, was a truly special human who passed away at 72. For decades, Bobby anchored the band’s sound and spirit, playing countless shows across Delaware and beyond, and earning a spot in the Delaware Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024.
Though everyone’s devastated, the band will keep playing—just like Bobby would’ve wanted.
The Roots Show on WVUD will honor his life and music this morning at 9 AM. Tune in as Kid Davis and Scott pay tribute to their friend and bandmate. 91.3 FM or wvud.org.
