🎶 SPOTLIGHT ARTIST: Kid Davis & the Bullets
Roots Rock / Americana | Wilmington, DE
With a sound rooted in the traditions of American music, Wilmington’s Kid Davis & the Bullets have become a steady, soulful presence on the Mid-Atlantic music scene. The band, led by songwriter and guitarist Michael “Kid” Davis, draws on a rich palette of influences such as Los Lobos, The Blasters, and Little Feat to craft poetic, roots-driven rock that threads together blues, bluegrass, country, and soul. Their songs cut with sharp storytelling and explore themes of hope, satire, resilience, and the contradictions of American life, delivered with a musical punch that feels both timeless and alive.
Over the years, they’ve built a loyal following across the region and beyond, from regular local gigs to recent festival stages in the Netherlands and Belgium. Their upcoming album, Amsterdam, produced by James Everhart (Cosmic Guilt, Scantron) and featuring guest appearances from fellow Delaware roots stalwarts, marks another step forward in sound and ambition. With ten new tracks full of grit and heart, the album channels the band’s deep musical chops and unshakable sense of purpose into something fresh and true.
